reset aggro

12 views 2 replies
Now that the aggro radar is fixed, we need to fine-tune the aggro reset timer. Right now, mobs follow players for way too long (around 300m) and end up train-pulling extra mobs.

Can we adjust the reset rules?

As long as we are actively trading damage or CC, the monster should keep chasing over long distances.

If no damage or CC occurs for 10–15 seconds, the monster should reset and return back.

We should also make sure instance-specific mobs (like in Adma) keep their intentional sticky aggro behavior.

Fixed. A monster in the open world now gives up 12 seconds after you stop fighting it, even if it is still hitting you while you run. Before, its own hits kept it chasing until about 150 metres from where you pulled it. If you keep attacking or crowd-controlling it while you move, it still follows you as before. Near where the fight started nothing changes, so a second monster hitting you while you kill the first one does not reset. Instances (Adma included), guards and siege monsters keep their current sticky behaviour. Live after the next server update.
